These American citizens are famous for shaping the United States. Some of these people, like Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson, helped to form the United States. Others were activists who worked to change the United States, like Susan B. Anthony and Martin Luther King, Jr. The work of these citizens is an important part of the American story.
