SSC JE 2023: Age Relaxation

Age relaxation criteria for different categories have been tabulated below:

Persons with Disabilities (PwD)/ Physically Handicapped (OH/ HH) 10 years
Persons with Disabilities (PwD)/ PH (OA/ HH) + OBC 13 years
Persons with Disabilities (PwD)/ PH (OA/ HH) + SC/ ST 15 years
Ex-Servicemen (General) 3 years after the deduction of military service rendered in the Armed forces from the actual age
Defense Personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof 3 years
Defense Personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof (SC/ ST ) 8 years
Persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 5 years

SSC JE 2023: Nationality

The SSC JE 2023 applicants should be citizens of any of the below-mentioned regions. They are eligible to take the exam as per the SSC JE 2023 Notification if they fulfill any of the criteria of nationality as listed below:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who migrated to India before 1st January 1962, with the intention of residing in India permanently, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Malawi, Ethiopia, Zaire, Zambia, and Vietnam with the intention of settling in India permanently.
