The prominent leaders of the Naxalbari Movement were Charu Mazumdar, Kanu Sanyal, Jangal Santhal, Mahadev Mukherjee, Vinod Mishra, Dipankar Bhattacharya, etc.

Bengal was partitioned twice in history. The first partition occurred in AD 1905 and the second one in AD 1947. The partition of Bengal occurring twice in the 20th century has left permanent marks on the history and psyche of the people of Bengal.

Dhaka Anushilan Samiti centred in Dhaka and Jugantar Anushilan Samiti centred in Calcutta were the two branches of the Anushilan Samiti.

Buxa Pass is the main mountain pass of the Eastern Mountain Region of West Bengal. It joins India and Bhutan.
