1. Approximately, What is the average no of candidates appeared from all states for college 3?

Average = (2500+3200+2800+2400+3000+4800+6500)/7 = 3600

 

2.  What is the overall percentage of candidates passed over the total no of candidates appeared from all the states together for college 1?

Ans:3
Percentage = (Total no of passed candidates in clg1/ appeared candidates in clg1)*100
= (2780/39400)*100
= 7.0558

 

3. What is the ratio between total no of candidates passed in all colleges together from state E to State G?

Ans:1
State E: State G = (520+75+120+280+280) : (200+325+550+140+220)
=>1275: 1435
=>255: 287

 

4. Total number of candidates found appeared from all states together for college 1 is approximately what percent of the total number of candidates found appeared from all states together for college 4?

Ans:2
= (Candidates appeared in clg 1 from all states / Candidates appeared in clg 4 from all states) *100
= (39400/44000)*100 = 89.5454

 

5. Total number of candidates found appeared from all states together for college 1 is approximately what percent of the total number of candidates found appeared from all states together for college 4?

Ans:1

Women in Chennai : 3/5*9*250 = 450*3=1350
Women in Salem : 2/5*12*250 = 1200
(1350/1200)*100 = 112.5%

 

7. Approximately what is the total number of Employed people in dindigul and hosur together?

Ans:5
Dindigul Hossur
( 3/5*15*250 ) + (5/6*11*250) = 4, 541 = 4.5K

 

8. Approximately what will be the percentage of total male in Kovai, Hossur and Trichy of the total population of the given states?

Ans:1
((5/8*25) + (3/7*11) + (3/7*8))*25000) / 25000 *100 =23.767 = 25

 

9. If in the year 1990, the population in Chennai was increased by 10% as well as 12% in Madurai while compared to the previous year. What was the ratio of the population of Chennai to Madurai?

Ans:5
Then the population will be
10% increase in Chennai = 0.9
12% increase in Madurai = 2.4
Ratio of population = 9.9*25000/100 : 22.4*25000/100 = 99:224

 

10. What is the ratio of number of Females in Salem to Chennai?

Ans:1
Women in Salem – 1200

Women in Chennai – 1350
=>1200:1350
=>24:27
=>8:9
