Percentage wise of students in terms of specialization in MBA and the table shows ratio of number of boys and girls in that specialization.


1.  What is the total number of students in Marketing, HR and IT?

Ans:1
Total number of students in HR, IT and Marketing = (23+21+26)% of 8000
= 70/100*8000 = 5600

 

2. What is the difference between the number of IB girls and that of Finance boys?

Ans:2

Number of IB girls=720
Number of Finance boys=560
Difference=720-560
=160

 

3. The number of HR girls is approximately what percent of the number of marketing boys?

Ans:3

Required percentage=880*100/1360
≈65%

 

4. What is the ratio of total number of Finance boys to the total number of IB boys?

Ans:4

Ratio=560:720
=7:9

 

5. What is the ratio of total number of Marketing and Finance boys to total number of IT and HR girls together?

Ans:4

Total number of marketing and Finance boys=1360+560=1920
Total number of IT and HR girls=1040+880=1920
Ratio=1920:1920=1:1

A company produced five different mobile products, viz. Nokia, Samsung, Moto, Vivo and Oppo. Total number of all five products manufactured is 1800. 15% of the total number of products are Nokia. Four-ninths of the total number of products are Samsung. The number of Vivo manufactured is 60 more than the number of Nokia. 12% of the total number of products is Oppo and the remaining number of products is Moto.
6. What is the total number of Samsung and Moto?

Ans:1
Total = 1800
Number of Nokia products = 15/100 * 1800= 270
Number of Samsung products = 4/9 * 1800 = 800
Number of Vivo products = 270 + 60 = 330
Number of Oppo products = 12/100 * 1800 = 216
Number of Moto products = 1800 – (270+800+330+216) = 184

Total number of Moto and Samsung=184+800=984

 

7. The cost of one Oppo product is Rs.25000, what is the cost of all the Oppo products manufactured by the company?

Ans:1
Total = 1800
Number of Nokia products = 15/100 * 1800= 270
Number of Samsung products = 4/9 * 1800 = 800
Number of Vivo products = 270 + 60 = 330
Number of Oppo products = 12/100 * 1800 = 216
Number of Moto products = 1800 – (270+800+330+216) = 184

Total number of Oppo products =216
Cost=216*25000=5400000 = 54 lakhs

 

8. The number of Vivo products is approximately what percent of the number of Nokia products?

Ans:4
Total = 1800
Number of Nokia products = 15/100 * 1800= 270
Number of Samsung products = 4/9 * 1800 = 800
Number of Vivo products = 270 + 60 = 330
Number of Oppo products = 12/100 * 1800 = 216
Number of Moto products = 1800 – (270+800+330+216) = 184

Percentage=330*100/270=122%

 

9. If 25% of the number of Oppo products is defective, what is the number of non defective Oppo?

Ans:3
Total = 1800
Number of Nokia products = 15/100 * 1800= 270
Number of Samsung products = 4/9 * 1800 = 800
Number of Vivo products = 270 + 60 = 330
Number of Oppo products = 12/100 * 1800 = 216
Number of Moto products = 1800 – (270+800+330+216) = 184

Total number of Oppo products =216.
25% defective=54
Therefore non defective Oppo products =216-54=162

 

10. What is the difference between the number of Samsung products and the number of Vivo products manufactured?

Ans:2
Total = 1800
Number of Nokia products = 15/100 * 1800= 270
Number of Samsung products = 4/9 * 1800 = 800
Number of Vivo products = 270 + 60 = 330
Number of Oppo products = 12/100 * 1800 = 216
Number of Moto products = 1800 – (270+800+330+216) = 184

Difference=800-330=470
