Number of students studying in six different colleges in five years

1. What was the respective ratio between the students studying in college Amity in year 2011 and students studying in college CITS in year 2013?

Ans:5
Amity in 2011: CITS in 2013 = 4200: 4900
=6:7

 

2. What was the total number of students studying in college BIST and DU together in year 2010 and students studying in college CITS and Amity together in year 2014?

Ans:2
BIST and DU in 2010 = 1800+2700=4500
CITS and Amity in 2014 = 4500+3600=8100
Total = 4500+8100=12600

 

3. In which college was the total number of students studying in year 2012 the lowest?

Ans:1
In college DU – 2500 students

 

4. Number of students studying in college Amity in year 2014 was what percentage of all the students studying in college CITS in the years 2011?

Ans:3
Required answer = 4500 * 100/3500 = 128.57%

 

5. What was the average number of students studying in year 2013 in all the colleges together?

Ans:4
In 2013, Total students in all colleges
= 4300+ 3800+ 4600+ 4900+ 3400=21000
Average = 21000/5=4200

Study the following information to give the answer of the following questions.
Total Employees = 180000 & Employees working in different company (The values are in degree).

6. How many employees are working in IOCL?

Ans:1
360–>180000
60 –>180000 * 60/360 = 30000 employees.

 

7. What is the difference between the number of employees working in NTPC and GAIL?

Ans:2
360 –> 180000
(100-55)= 45 –> 180000 * 45/360 = 22500 employees.

 

8. What is the ratio between the number of employees working in ONGC and HPCL?

Ans:1
ONGC: HPCL=> 70: 30
=>7:3

 

9. Number of employees working in BPCL is what percentage of the number of employees working in HPCL?

Ans:4
Required answer = 45 * 100/30 = 150%

 

10. Number of employees working in BPCL is how much percentage more/less than that of the number of employees working in ONGC?

Ans:4
Required answer = (70 – 45) * 100/70 = 35.71%
