Study the following information and answer the following question.
Percentage of failed student in different schools:


1. If total number of students in school Amity is 8000, what will be the number of passed Boys in school Amity?

Ans:1
8000*80/100*9/16 = 3600

 

2. If number of failed students in school KVS is 3600, then what will be the number of failed Girls in school KVS?

Ans:2
Required no. of failed girl in College KVS = 3600 * 7/15 = 1680

 

3. If number of failed students in school BalBharti is 5400, find total number of students in school BalBharti?

Ans:1
Let total no. of students in BalBharti school = x
45 % of x = 5400
=> x = 5400*100/45 = 12000

 

4. If total number of students passed in school DPS is 3600, find the number of Girls failed in same school?

Ans:4
60 % = 3600
40 % = 2400
Now, ratio of failed Boys and Girls = 5: 3
Required answer = 2400 * 3/8 = 900

 

5. If number of students in each school SAM and KVS is 4200, how many students failed in both the school together?

Ans:4
Failed students from both the schools = 4200 * 25% + 4200 * 15% = 4200 * 40%
=> 4200 * 40/100 = 1680

Study the following graph carefully and answer the given questions.
The table shows the number of students participates in different sports in different schools.

6. Find the total number of students participated in foot ball from all the given schools, if the ratio of the number of students participated in volley ball to basket ball from schools A and E is 4: 5 and 2: 1 respectively?

Ans:4

Required total = (30+60+40+15+75)
= 220

 

7. What is the difference between the number of students participated in volley ball from schools B and C and number of students participated in basket ball from same schools?

Ans:2

Required difference = (80+20) – (40+40)
= 100 – 80
= 20

 

8. Number of students participated in foot ball from school A and B is approximately what percentage of the number of students participated in basket ball from schools A and E, if the ratio of the number of students participated in volley ball to foot ball from schools A and E is 4: 3 and 2: 3 respectively?

Ans:3

Required percentage = (30+60)/(50+25) *100
= (90/75) *100
= 120%

 

9. What is the ratio of the number of students participated in volley ball from schools C and E to the number of students participated in foot ball from B and D?

Ans:1
Required ratio = (20+50): (60+15)
= 70: 75
= 14: 15

 

10. Find the ratio of the total students participated from schools A and B to the total students participated from schools C and D.

Ans:5
Required ratio = (120+180): (100+80)
= 300: 180
= 5: 3
