Following table shows the percentage of boys and difference between the percentage of number of boys and the percentage of number of girls among the students of six different schools who appeared in board examination in different years.
1. Total number of students appearing from School U in the year 2001 is what per cent of the total number of students appearing from School R in the year 2001?

Ans:4
Students from School U 2001 = 375
Students from School R 2001 = 250
Required percentage = (375/250) × 100 = 37500/250= 150%

 

2. What is the average of the number of boys who appeared from School T, taking all the four years together?

Ans:3
Average = (210 + 204 + 231 + 231)/4
= 219

 

3. What is the total number of girls who appeared in the examination from all the six schools in the year 2002?

Ans:1
Total number of girls = 70 + 117 + 54 + 129+ 136 + 176 = 682

 

4. What is the difference between the total number of students appearing from School Q in the year 2002 and that in 2004?

Ans:5
Difference
= 225 – 225 = 0

 

5. What is the ratio of the total number of boys appeared from School R in 2001 to the total number of girls appeared from School T in the year 2003?

Ans:4
Boys = 44x/100
girls = 56x/100
Difference = 12x/100 = 30
x = 3000/12 = 250
Boys = (44/100) × 250 = 11000/100=110
Similarly, Total students = 132 × 100/40 = 13200/40 = 330
Girls = 30× 330/100 = 9900/100
= 99
Ratio = 110/99
= 10 : 9

7. What is the respective ratio of number of Green Apples in Nagpur and Kashmir together to the number of Golden Apples in Solapur and Sri Nagar together?

Ans:1

= 3102 + 2058 = 5160
Number of Golden Apples in Solapur and Sri Nagar together
= 2028 + 2134 = 4162
Required ratio
= 5160 : 4162
= 2580 : 2081

Number of Green Apples and Golden Apples together in Nagpur = 3102 + 1974 = 5076

Number of Golden Apples in Nagpur and Sri Nagar together
= 564 + 1067 = 1631
Number of Red Apples in the Solapur and Goa together
= 676 + 602 = 1278
Difference = 1631 – 1278
= 353
