1. What is the total number of males studying in all departments together?

Ans:3
Number of males:
ECE department – 275 x 8/25 = 88
EEE department
= 225 x 3/5 = 135
IT department
= 200 x 9/40 = 45
Mechanical department
= 175 x 2/5 = 70
Production department
= 360 x 11/15 = 264
Aeronautical department
= 378 x 4/7 = 216
∴ Total Number of males
= 88 + 135 + 45 + 70 + 264 + 216 = 818

 

2. What is the number of females studying in the ECE department?

Ans:4
Number of females studying in the ECE department
= 275 x 17/25 = 187

 

3. What is the respective ratio of total number of students studying in the production department to those studying in the Aeronautical department?

Ans:1
Required ratio = 360 : 378 = 20 : 21

 

4. In which department is the lowest number of females studying?

Ans:1
Number of females:
ECE Department – 275 – 88 = 187
EEE department – 225 – 135 = 90
IT Department – 200 – 45 = 155
Mechanical department – 175 – 70 = 105
Production department – 360 – 264 = 96
Aeronautical department – 378 – 216 = 162

5. What is the average number of students from all departments together in the Institution approximately?

Ans:5
Total Number of students = 275 + 225 + 200 + 175 + 360 + 378
= 1613
Average = 1613/6 = 268.833 ≈ 269

6. What is the approximate average number of visitors in Bihar state from all the days together?

Ans:3
Number of visitors enrolled in Bihar state
= 1384 + 1783 + 1347 + 1473 + 1098 + 1234 + 1785= 10104
Required average = 10104/7
= 1443

 

7. In Thursday, the number of visitors from Tamil Nadu is approximately what per cent of that of visitors from Tripura?

Ans:4
Number of visitors of Tamilnadu in Thursday = 1342
Number of visitors of Tripura in Thursday = 1666
∴ Required percentage
= 1342/1666 x 100 = 80.55 ≈ 81

 

8. In Monday, the number of Telangana visitors is approximately what per cent of that of Sikkim visitors?

Ans:4
Required percentage
= 1289/1440 x 100
= 89.5 ≈ 90

 

9. What is the difference between total number of Bihar and Tamilnadu visitors from all the days together?

Ans:2
Total number of Bihar visitors from all days together = 10104
Total number of Tamilnadu visitors from all days together
= 1234 + 1156 + 1187 + 1342 + 1230 + 1456 + 1239 = 8844
∴ Required difference
= 10104 – 8844 = 1260

 

10. Which day has the highest number of visitors?

Ans:4
Total number of visitors:
Tuesday – 1156 + 1783 + 1874 + 1003 + 1340 = 7156
Thursday – 1342 + 1473 + 1129 + 1765 + 1666 = 7375
Friday – 1230 + 1098 + 1128 + 1865 + 1777 = 7098
Saturday – 1456 + 1234 + 1556 + 1653 + 1789 = 7688
Sunday – 1239 + 1785 + 1865 + 1504 + 1762 = 8155
The number of visitors was highest in Sunday.
